Construction Industry to Hydronic Heating

Born and raised in Wellington, James has built an impressive career in sales within the construction industry, leaving his mark in Wellington, Auckland, and even as far as London before settling in Auckland 20 years ago. He’s a natural at connecting with people—whether it’s wholesalers, tradies, architects, or homeowners—effortlessly adapting his approach to suit every conversation.

During his time in London, James managed a tile store in Camden, where he crossed paths with both minor and major stars. One of his more memorable projects? Helping none other than Robert Plant fit out flooring in his Staffordshire mansion—along with the illustrious task of supplying tiles for the guest bathroom in his Primrose Hill home.

A true champion of central heating, James is on a mission to convert the unconverted. He’s passionate about helping Kiwis experience the game-changing comfort of radiant heat—the kind of warmth that wraps around you like a cosy blanket—and guiding them on how to integrate it seamlessly into their homes.

Off the clock, James soaks up quality time with his wife, Jo—a proud Southern woman who keeps him on his toes—and their mischievous Tonkinese cat, Coca, who seems to think she runs the house. Sixteen years ago, a workplace injury meant James had to relearn how to walk, an experience that gave him a whole new appreciation for movement. These days, he swaps skiing and sailing for longboard surfing (or, as he likes to say, “floating”), snorkelling, and gardening.

Family is important to James, and he cherishes the time he spends with his retired parents, as well as the fun and chaos that comes with being the fun uncle to his niece and nephew. And when he finally gets a quiet moment? You’ll find him unwinding with an action-packed TV series or losing himself in soulful music.
