We are excited to unveil a first in New Zealand that's been over a year in the making - our brand new Training Van! This unique project is designed to provide the opportunity for hands-on experience with our heat sources and controls, as well as enabling our customers to feel the unparalleled comfort of central heating.
The Concept:
Our vision for the Training Van was twofold. Firstly, it's a mobile training hub that will traverse New Zealand, offering in-person training sessions to ensure you can commission and troubleshoot your central heating systems with ease. Secondly, we wanted to convey the unmatched comfort our systems provide to the end user, an experience that words and brochures alone cannot capture.
The Execution:
Transforming a stationary building heating system into a mobile solution that can withstand the rigors of the road was no small task, but with unwavering dedication and innovative thinking, we overcame these obstacles.
Inside the van, we've integrated four heat sources - a heat pump, diesel boiler, and two gas boilers, all readily accessible via a sliding mechanism. To ensure sufficient runtime for training, we've harnessed over 35kW of heat dissipation from the emitters within the system. The van is equipped with an onboard diesel and gas supply, with the ability to plug into mains for the heat pump and other electrical appliances. Two televisions allow for engaging presentations and marketing collateral display for home or trade shows. For the ultimate central heating experience, we've incorporated a "heating tunnel" using Variotherm modular floor, wall, and ceiling panels.
What We've Seen So Far:
Our Training Van made its debut at the Canterbury home show, where it piqued the interest of visitors and received positive feedback from our team. Customers had the opportunity to step inside, feel the comfort, and gain a deeper understanding of how central heating systems can enhance their homes.
What’s Next:
We have grand plans for the year ahead. Our primary goal is to bring training directly to you. We are developing a schedule that will take the van to various regions, where our skilled technicians and local representatives will set up at key locations for comprehensive training sessions. This hands-on approach will allow you to ask our experts any technical questions with a fully functional heat source in action.
