Where do I install my Firebird diesel boiler?

The ideal place is in a laundry or attached garage although, in the UK and Ireland, they are often installed in kitchens. There are outdoor versions also that are more convenient if space is limited.

How big is the diesel fuel tank?

The 460-litre fuel tank is about the same size as two LPG gas bottles. The larger 980-litre tank is the size of 6 LPG gas bottles.

How long does the diesel in the fuel tank last?

It depends on the size of the house; how warm you like it and how long the heating runs for. Often a tank will last around 2 months for an average house.

How do I fill the diesel fuel tank?

There are many fuel suppliers that do home deliveries. They have small trucks and hose lengths of around 40-meters.

Can I change to another heat source in the future?

Yes, this is the advantage of warm water central heating. You can replace the boiler with newer technology later and still use the same radiators or underfloor heating.

Can I use biodiesel in the boiler?

Yes, the boilers can run on 10% biodiesel as long as it is from a certified supplier.
